Developers feel that when it comes to software quality senior management did not take their responsibility. This is a finding a finding of a poll of developers conducted by testing firm Agitar Software and DSDM Consortium.

The poll clearly showed that developers believe that software quality is the shared responsibility of many functions within an organization as senior management, business analysts, testing teams, project managers. The main purpose of this survey was to find out that how much dedicated is developer community towards software quality. 85 per cent felt that developers should be responsible for overall quality of the software. Mark de Visser, vice president of marketing at Agitar Software said, "This survey clearly shows that software developers feel abandoned by senior management whom they believe do not share their concern and responsibility for software quality."
